Vanguard Storage Services Ltd is a privately owned and family run business. Vanguard was formed in August 1964 to provide Industrial Moving and Storage services. One of the founding directors, Mac McCullagh is still in charge today. The business quickly grew and diversified into other related activities.
Through the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Vanguard were involved with some very high profile work, such as erecting the Trafalgar Square Christmas Tree and facilitating the renovation the Cutty Sark. Even Buckingham Palace called upon our services.
Many people will recognise our landmark building on the Western Avenue in Greenford. Over the years, our prominent tower block has displayed many items including military aircraft, over-scaled furniture, a giant Father Christmas and even a London bus.
In the last decade Vanguard has focused on self storage services and developing other commercial property opportunities. Our West London self-store opened in 2003, our East London store the following year and in 2009 we opened in Manchester. We also have a storage centre in Bristol opening soon.
