The team at Vanguard Self Storage’s Lowry Mill facility is delighted to announce that it has raised £2,629.88 for Macmillan Cancer Support over the past three years through its annual charity coffee morning and bake-off.
Organised by Alison Taylor for the third consecutive year, the event brings colleagues and tenants together for coffee, homemade cakes and a friendly baking competition. The first fundraiser, held in 2024, raised £514.24, followed by £800 in 2025, with both totals including Vanguard’s matched contribution.
This year, colleagues and tenants raised £657.82, which Vanguard matched pound for pound to bring the donation to £1,315.64. The money will help Macmillan Cancer Support continue providing practical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer and their families.
The coffee morning has become a regular fixture for the Lowry Mill community, giving colleagues and tenants a chance to get together and support a worthwhile cause. With three events now completed, the team is already looking forward to doing it again next year.
