As mentioned in our previous news update, Songs of Praise, that was shown on BBC One yesterday, was filmed in Swinton and featured various local people and the work of L S Lowry. The episode is available via the BBC i-Player.
A sketch that Lowry made of our building in 1928 was shown in the programme and the facade has changed little from what you see today. Russell Watson narrated and his performance of Jerusalem was filmed in the Vanguard Business Centre, Lowry Mill.
