Bristol-based Vanguard Self Storage has another reason to celebrate after its team successfully completed a 100-mile sponsored bike ride in support of local charities.
The challenge raised £1,602 for two good causes, continuing the company’s strong tradition of giving back. Now in its fifth consecutive year, the annual fundraising event — with every pound raised matched by Head Office —helped bring the total charitable donations to more than £8,000 across the South West.
Starting from Vanguard’s Bristol premises, three team members took on the demanding route under the name “50 Miles and Beyond – Part 5”, pushing through the miles with determination and good spirits.
The funds raised will benefit:
- Brandon Trust, which provides support and services for more than 1,600 people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Travelling Light, a theatre company creating imaginative performances with and for young people.
Lakhvinder Singh, Branch Manager at Vanguard Self Storage and organiser of the ride, said:
“Our legs definitely felt the 100 miles, but it is worth it to raise funds for two local charities. Hopefully, we will recover in time for next year’s ride, but for now, we are proud to support Brandon Trust.
