Vanguard & ASDA

Vanguard recently assisted ASDA by providing space for recruitment and training prior to the opening of the new ASDA store in Swinton.

Over a three month period the ASDA team grew from half a dozen people to a team of over 200. New ASDA colleagues were interviewed, recruited and assigned to stores elsewhere within Greater Manchester to commence their training. All of these activities were co-ordinated from ASDA’s temporary base at Vanguard. The ASDA team are moving into their new store this week to complete their final preparation prior to the official opening on April 7th.

Commenting on Vanguard ASDA General Store Manager Tony Rutherford said “”I have opened six stores for ASDA and our experience of working with Vanguard for our interim space requirements was the best by far. The whole ASDA team has commented on how friendly the Vanguard team are, the location and quality of facilities were the key factors in our decision to use Vanguard. The service we received from Vanguard has been superb and much appreciated by my team.”
